On October 18, 2025 we came together to raise funds and raise our spirits with a pumpkin carving competition.

Minorities in Shark Sciences is a local nonprofit with the following mission: MISS provides a community and funded opportunities for gender minorities of color who wish to enter the field of marine and shark sciences.

We spotlighted MISS for this event because “Diversity in scientists leads to diversity in thought which leads to innovation.”
